Truly IndependentAll Decisions Are Made in the Best Interests of the ClientOBJECTIVE ADVICE. Our firm is registered with the Department of Business Oversight (DBO) and is unaffiliated with any brokerage house, broker-dealer or insurance company. Our recommendations are never tainted by the influence of third parties or by the enticements of gifts, awards, or other inducements that may be at odds with the best interests of our clients. This independent posture ensures that our clients receive truly objective investment advice. NO COMMISSIONS (FEE ONLY). We eliminate conflicts of interest with our clients by refusing to receive commissions from any source. We have no financial incentive to promote one type of investment over another or to trade investment accounts for the sole purpose of generating commissions. Our total loyalty runs to our clients and our business expands only as our clients' accounts increase in size. PROPRIETARY DECISIONS. All of our investment decisions are made “in house.” While we rely extensively on a broad range of investment publications, seminars and software, we are solely responsible for portfolio performance and we never shift that responsibility to other parties. This proprietary process ensures that the client has direct access to the person making investment decisions, and that the client remains a fully informed partner in the investment process. Is the advisor trustworthy? TrustworthyOur Reputation is Our Most Valuable AssetINTEGRITY. We recognize that a successful investment advisory business must be built upon a foundation of absolute integrity. In fact, our decision to practice as an independent fee-only advisor is driven primarily by ethical considerations. We proudly tell our clients that all investment decisions are made with their best interests in mind, and that these decisions are untainted by the enticements of awards, incentives or commissions. In addition:The vast majority of our new business comes from the referrals of satisfied clients. We have never been involved in a legal dispute of any kind (hearings, arbitrations or lawsuits) with any of our clients. When asked, “How would you invest your own assets?” we are proud to reply that we invest them in the same manner that we recommend to our clients.REPUTATION. We consider our reputation to be our most valuable asset. This emphasis, for the past twenty-eight years, on personal and corporate trustworthiness gives our clients confidence that they will be treated with honesty and integrity. Personal MessageBUSINESS OBJECTIVE. Our business objective is to assist clients in setting and then meeting their financial goals. I truly enjoy every aspect of this responsibility: consulting with clients, studying investment theory, developing sound portfolios and then implementing this work in a manner that is comprehensible to our clients. I feel very fortunate to have work that is so personally rewarding. PEACE OF MIND. Our methodology does not appeal to everyone. Individuals expecting hot tips, quick rewards and manic trading activity will be better served elsewhere. We appeal to individuals who are looking for sound strategies, a trusted advisor and a steady partner in the sometimes chaotic world of investments. I often think that the ultimate service we provide can best be stated in one simple phrase: Peace of Mind.
